PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Berlin Fire District No. 1 will take place on December 13, 2011 between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm at the Berlin Fire House located on Community Avenue, Berlin, New York for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2012 and ending on December 31. 2017. All duly registered residents of the Berlin F'ire District No. 1 shall be eligible to vote. Such residents shall be registered at the Renssetaer County Board of Elections on or before the date twenty-three (23) days prior to the election as provided by Town Law 175-a (2a) and shall have resided with the Berlin Fire District for a minimum of 30 days prior to the election date.
All individuals with the exception of the incumbents shall make their candidacy known to the Secretary for the Commissioners in writing and must be received by the Secretary of the Commissioners no later than 4pm on Friday December 9. 2011.
