Zoning Board of Appeals
Description of Services
The primary function and purpose of the Berlin Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is to hear and decide appeals resulting from decisions of those Officers charged with the administration and enforcement of the Zoning Ordinances of the Town’s Land Use Regulations. This is known as having Appellate Jurisdiction. If an appeal is properly made to the ZBA they will interpret the zoning ordinance/local law and grant a variance, if warranted, according to the Town Regulations.
