Berlin Fire District #1

Please take notice that the annual election of the Berlin Fire District #1 will take place on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, between the hours of 6:00pm and 9:00pm at the Berlin Fire Hall, located at 11 Community Avenue, Berlin, NY.; For the purpose of electing one (1) commissioner. One (1) commissioner will serve a five (5) year term; commencing January 1st, 2023 and ending December 31st, 2027.
All duly registered residents of the Berlin Fire District #1 shall be eligible to vote. Such residents shall be registered at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections on or before twenty-three (23) days prior to the election as provided by Town Law 175-a (2a) and shall have resided within the Berlin Fire District #1 for a minimum of thirty days prior to the election date.
All individuals, with the exception of the incumbents, shall make their candidacy known to the Secretary of the Commissioners, in writing, at least twenty (20) days prior to the election. Letters can be mailed to the Berlin Fire District #1, Box 409 Berlin NY or hand delivered to the Secretary at 292 Potter Hill RD Petersburgh, NY 12138.
